  1. This conversation is so tone deaf. Of course, it’s sad and pathetic that we need a little girl to play a role in alerting the world to the urgency of climate change. But that is the current situation, and rather than condemning or laughing at her we should commend her and other young people for taking a stand against a system that puts profits over humanity and the environment. Young people are staring down a bleak future unless we awaken to the reality and adopt more sustainable policies. Change the conversation and grow up.

  2. She's just someone being used by the media and politicians to try and make you feel bad because they blame you for living (in a world you didn't create) that is fossil fuel based. They want you to feel bad that you ate or drank food grown with fertilizers made from fossil fuels, delivered to your home on vehicles that burn fossil fuels, consumed in a home heated by fossils fuels.. etc, "How dare you" is meant to make you feel bad that you did something wrong (which you did not). Just because you have aspergers doesn't mean you're a genius. 16 year olds with aspergers don't travel the world, getting famous, making (pre-written) speeches. The things she says are written for her. Watch the video where she's cornered into answering questions when she doesn't have a prepared statement, and she's a shy dopy kid biting her fingernails with nothing to say.
