The story represents a family. As your thoughts are your family in your mind so we are thoughts within Adam who is a thought within Christ who is God's direct thought.
A split personality develops within Adam. Caine and Abel. This is the same ideas repeating but as time goes on it gets more complex.
Brothers split. One is on higher ground and the other is below and at odds with brother. He feels that he wants to do his own thing. He does not want his brother to rule him. He is constricted.
Adam breakes away from God. Caine breakes away from God.
Abraham is the soul, spirit learning in Abrahams body. It is connected to God and needs to guid the body's actions and thought. The soul replaced Eve who was our higher consciousness.
Lot represents the body who wants to be independant. On a larger scale it is the body of mankind wanting to rule itself.
Its a bit like looking at a mandlebrot set. As mankind gets bigger it will always look the same whether a house hold, town, country, continent or planet.
The body wants to live in a town. Towns are built of bricks which represent the thought or triths of man. Lot wants to live with the body thought. Abraham gives him free choice.
Abraham lives in the wilderness where he concentrates on God. Cicumcision.
God opens Abraham up. He is again naked before God. Nothing is hidden.
He cannot hide in his lower awareness or animalistic side.
Eve descended away from God into Adam and was to be agitated by the snake which is our animal side.
The body is the head which thinks, the body which acts and the lower part of the body is sensual thought.
