Sodom and Gomorrah don't hold a candle to California and New York.
Imagine getting sentenced to the most notorious prison known to man. You arrive there and some dude starts offering you food, something to drink, a place to spend the night…. I can see where the Angels were reluctant to take up on Lot's offers.
The fact that people really believe this is just insanity… I enjoy watching the content though, just like I enjoy The Hobbit or the lord of the rings.
Fire and brimstone meant lightning in olde English. And a severe thunderstorm would absolutely destroy a city made of clay bricks or even stone.
