The abuse is ignoring the truth that Samson’s hair began to grow while laboring in prison. His Nazareth vow renewed, Samson found his greatest victory over his enemies in his death.
While I'm guilty of doing this a lot when younger ridiculing Samson for his Unwise Choice's.
Now, that I'm a tad bit older, I tend to wonder if in the same boat, would we have behaved any different than Samson did?
Taking a page out of History regarding one of my Earthly Heroes accept in the case of God because He Matters More to me than even They do but, one can still learn a important lesson.
I was happy to learn through ytube that The American Apostle of Non-violence Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr's Sermons & Speeches are posted right here on ytube.
There are actually Two Speeches that happen to be my favorites unfortunately, the first Speech has not been posted to ytube which is "Tired of Being Kicked About" (1955) & Dr. King's Goodbye message to This World "I've Been to The Mountaintop", (1968).
There's another Speech that is my mother's favorite she has 3 actually but I'll touch on two this time which is
"The Three Evil's of Society" (1967), & "The Drum Major Instinct", (1968), believe it, or not, those two messages ties together.
I realize it seems off putting like, I'm going off subject; with Samson, but, hear me out.
In Dr. King's speech The Three Evil's of Society (1967), he teaches life lessons on Non-violence and how it works for those who follow's it's Principles.
Non-violence deals with Perception to View a Situation; in a whole other context, not thought, of before by said person practicing The Principles of Non-violence.
As an example Dr. King was confronted by a group of angry young frustrated men.
At first Dr. King's reaction was anger & disappointed in how these young men in question received Him, but, at the End of the Day Dr. King went back to his training in Non-violence and began to see the World View of these young men who were seething.
Conclusion those pipe dreams & broken promises that was spoken by grown men like Dr. King in and around the community never fully saw any of that sorts come to fruition.
So learning that principle on analyzing a Situation through another way of looking at it helped me re-examine Samson and his choices.
I can't help but, think would we have done the very same thing if we like Samson put Him down for doing; because we appear to throw away God's anointing of Us on a daily basis.
It might not be like Samson & Delilah type behavior but, other thing's of This World can still be a kind of Delilah.
He repented and his hair started to grow again showing God favor in his and samson brought down the building killing more God enemies but also himself
