Exodus 17:1-7 The first time the Israelites complained about getting water, God told Moses to Strike the rock. (I will stand before you there on the rock. God was allowing Moses to strike him down as a picture of Christ struck on the cross.)
Numbers 20:1-13- the second time God tells Moses to SPEAK to the rock, but Moses strikes the rock (out of anger because the Israelites were complaining)
Why did God have Moses strike the first physical rock and then speak to the second physical rock? When Moses struck the rock the second time, disobeying God, was that physical rock Jesus? Yes and No
1Chorinthians 10:1-4-(Spiritual rock was Christ) The 1st rock (Exodus 17:1-8 was pointing to Christ. spiritual rock being on the cross to give us life-giving water. (Jesus, according to Paul, is the spiritual rock.)

He was told to touch the rock not hit it in fack he could not enter the promised land as punishment for that and im just wondering why they couldnt drink the milk from the animals who do need water
