Being Humbled on a regular basis is part and parcel of getting clean. Learning to know when to walk away from a problem, rather than fixating on it has been a challenge, however. One Day At A Time.

“You have to keep yourself from doing it….no one can keep me sober”…..spot fucking on. The 12 step program makes you a slave to god/higher power, makes others accountable for yourself, discounts self-worth, self-esteem, self-belief, takes personal accountability and responsibility off the table. It also makes one thing clear…You will be absolutely hopeless by not working the 12 steps. No thanks.
