Man I really fucked up this past year.. I took out 3 student loans for a 5000 each and came up 50k on GameStop call options last may and 40k last august and 50k last week…. if your familiar with how things went down like 75% of the value was lost within a couple minutes the day they crashed and then went down to a couple hundred in value by the next week. Normally id just take this loss on the chin because I’m a gambler and things like this have happened before (not to this extent) but I found out recently because I rolled those contracts over into later dates, I owe taxes on all those gains and because of the washed sale rule or whatever the fuck that thing is and even though I lost it all and the money never left my account I still owe taxes on it… completely fucked me
Honestly this is the most pathetic and embarrassing thing I’ve ever done in my life but I’m seriously desperate because if I didn’t have a daughter and wasn’t currently on probation, I never would resort to something this low. I honestly don’t know what to do because I can’t just save and pay it off this year because I need money now so we can literally survive.
I know I’m a jack ass and irresponsible ass father for this and seriously this is the biggest piece of shit move ever but I’m asking for anything, advice on how not go to jail for this or literally a dollar. Message me for advice or cash app me at $mxmali
