I came across this dude in 2019 one night I was high as fuck. I was in my office/man cave crying laughing. At home by myself.
I get what they're trying to say, but I wish people would stop with this idea of " I did it all myself" because it's just not true. NO ONE does it all themselves. Yes, you may make it without someone giving you money or a handout but at some point, somebody had to give you something more important, and that' a YES. At some point, someone had to say "YES" to you or "Let's GIVE THIS KID A SHOT". Basically, someone had to give you an opportunity. I've done a lot in my life and had very little help but I do realize if it wasn't for the few people to say yes to me or just give me encouragement that I might not have ever gotten certain chances otherwise.
You can be the best in the world but if no one ever gives you a chance or a platform to shine the world may never know it. Know this, you will never get the opportunity for greatness if no one ever sees a hint of greatness in you. There is always at least one person that sees something in you that makes them want to give you a shot.
I personally thank everybody that ever saw something in me and gave me a shot. Sometimes an opportunity can be worth more than any amount of money a person can give.
