If you beleive you are one of Gods chosen few. Then you also beleive that everyone else is not. If this describes you then you are a righteous person. When two righteous people (or groups) disagree it always leads to conflict. That's why Christians, Jews, and Muslims will never know peace even though they all preach it and pray for it. Righteousness always ends in war.
Its a nice story. I used to wonder why Christian's preached Jewish History. Or why the Muslims religions are so similar. Then it became obvious. They all share the same roots and the same ancestors. The Christian's developed a trinity of sorts during the Roman occupation but kept the Jewish History and afterlife myths intact. They all make pilgrimages to the same homelands that they call the holy land. They share some of the same teachers that they call prophets and holy men, but have evolved differently in different regions. They also all beleive they are Gods chosen people. Unfortunately that also means they beleive the others are not and its that belief that pits brother against brother. If we are going to learn from their mistakes we need to stop teaching that righteousness is Godly.
