A bit off with the numbers towards the end. 3.2 million Mongolians and almost 2 million living in UB. Perhaps 40% live in the ger district.
Zud(extreme temperatures in the winter leading to high mortality rates among livestock). Due to this increasing problem among the last decade. More and more nomads are migrating to the capital city. The city itself is equipped with modern malls, nightlife, luxury housing, exotic cars, international fast food chains, etc. However, the outskirts of the city are flooded with gers/yurts which have no electricity or running water. Plus the only heating source is coal in the winter. A lack of police presence in these districts also allows a high rate of crime which is correlated with high rates of alcoholism. There has been ongoing protests and awareness acts among the last few years which had a slight impact on this year’s air pollution rate. However, corruption among government officials and funding embezzlement is an ongoing problem yet to be fixed.
What happen to the Global Warming lie? Oh thats right to keep the lie going it had to changed to "Climate Change" to explain the unusual cold as well. What a freakn farce. The earth is meant to sustain us! We just have to do our best to take care of it. Improving our care of the earth is common sense and everyone can get involved. But the politicians who spout the end of the world need to shut the fuck up! They are trying to control people and create a movement or following that keeps them in power. The proof is the fact that they still have their jets and huge ranches and homes that use way to much power. They are still buying and investing in properties on shore lines that will supposedly be under water in a few years because of rising oceans. They say whatever they want about this because there is no accountability and tgey just alter the narrative as they go along.
