  1. Question (Kind of Lol ..just sharing here): I was just reading –

    1 John 5:16-18 KJV

16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

For better understanding (on our part), maybe there are sins that are as I've heard referred to as like personal convictions. And then others, where say someone because of regarding iniquity in heart, allows for (ultimately) their conscience to be seared… Sin that leads to death eternal.

Answer: 'The sin unto death is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit which is Unbelief or to remain in it with a seared conscience as you say or rather as scripture says.

Remember God decides when you have gone to far and can and will hand people over to the desire of their heart. Why does God leave people in this world who are at that point then might be another question. Again evil remains because people continue in evil.

So God uses the evil to punish those who desire evil. Just like Israel and Judah were sent into captivity to ungodly peoples and nations! They desire to be like them and God sent them warnings with no change so off to them they went.

Sin unto death is in the heart as we know and it has to be tied to the only unforgivable sin.

Herod was struck down on the spot when he spoke an oracle of God and refused to give God the Glory. People will say how can Herod speak an oracle of God or oration of God! I believe it was to seal His fate.

In other words it was already over for Herod at that point so God decided to give Him His words to speak in front of the crowd and when he refused to glorify God, when the people recognized it as of God, Herod did not give God the Glory so He struck him down. This causes others to fear God! Just how God works. God used evil for good.

Fear of God is in play all throughout! Because God decides when you have gone to far and once He does that is it! As people defect from truth God will hand them over to strong delusion.

If they get handed over to that there is no coming back from it unless God decides otherwise. Shedding of innocent blood and betrayal are not a joke.

The problem is , its like Solomon believing that many wives won't lead him astray and then God appearing to Him twice and still refusing.

Same with people who are continual in unbelief at a certain point he will take his hand completely away and then you become son of perdition where satan enters in. Again Fear of God. He is a God of MERCY! Does not want anyone to perish! Must not forget that. God is no respecter of person's though, look at Ananias and Sapphire.' ~ AnonymousOne4JesusChrist ..here on YT (brother in Christ Jesus)

Comment/Reply: Excellent! Really got alot out of this and can appreciate the biblical examples concerning king Herod, Solomon, Ananias and Sapphire…

AMEN! And so then Revelation 21:8 as well as other similar verses in Scripture, leads me to understand that a state of impenitence/unrepentant heart is as equally dangerous (all goes together as you've said on numerous occasions with fear, doubt and unbelief)!

    Revelation 21:8 KJV

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    John 14:15 KJV

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

    1 John 4:18 KJV

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
