Paperwork paperwork PAPERWORK. Rubber stamps. Accounting. Talking. Arguing. "Can we actually spend this money?"
These leaders that take off, do so because they know it isn't gonna matter. Of course if any of them just come out and say it everything falls apart and there'll be serious unrest from all of the SCAREDY CATS that don't do anything for themselves and depend on the GOVERNMENT.
Whereas driven folks….some of them mentioned in these comments, PRIVATE citizens helped their community (doesn't have to be local! We're all humans!!!!).
Yes. The government probably should be responsible for our infrastructure. But if the Mask Period taught us anything…the government is PAINFULLY slow to react to reality.
