  1. man why does everyone keep forgetting max took both dustin fights on short notice? "max looked a little slow" yeah cause he had like 2 weeks to prepare, and he was more than likely sitting eat like shit before he got the call

  2. From a totally unbiased point of view and as a Mcgregor fan- Mcgregor is my favourite UFC fighter and I can admit he has behaved horribly at times and I will not try to justify it but
-Mcgregor is still a strong contender and he is definitely not finished but in terms of being champion and being in the top 5 lightweights, I just don't think he is as good as Poirier now who has evolved as one of the best lightweights of all time and that is due to Mcgregor leaving the sport when he was in his prime and he was one of the best in the world at that time
With Khabib being retired now, Poirier looks to be the best lightweight of them all in my opinion, he is constantly getting better and better every fight and his chin seems to be better considering he can walk through bombs now and that was his weakness in the past the few times he got caught, he has a solid ground game and only ever looked weak there against the lightweight goat Khabib

Poirier has constantly been improving and evolving as a great all round fighter over the years while Mcgregor has been more focused or just as focused on business rather then fighting which is very understandable considering his legal troubles and multimillionaire pursuits
Mcgregor was far more dominant as a featherweight rather then a lightweight and if he had remained in that division and continued MMA, his legacy would be far greater but he took huge risks in his career that some of the top greats didn't even do like Silva, Khabib and GSP never jumped 2 weight classes taking fights on short notice, Mcgregor was incredible in his prime we must not forget disregarding if you hate him or not but just like him, Poirier is much more dominant at lightweight then he was at Featherweight, he has improved so much as a fighter while Mcgregor has been very much inactive in terms of being a high level fighter- even during the Poirier 2 fight at the start of the year, Mcgregor was focusing a lot on boxing for a future match up against Pacquiao which was pending after the Poirier fight but when he got knocked out, that match was called off because he lost all momentum. I don't think Mcgregor is finished but in terms of being MMA champion again or even being top 5 contenders, his chances are not so great but he is still a fantastic fighter and we can't solely judge him off losing against perhaps the best active lightweight in the world

  3. All the fighters worked really hard to be in the cage, once everyone got the superpower or their prime, those lucky who got tough opponents and finished them, everyone was the best once, let’s enjoy the fight and respect them
