Why did Jesus send the demons into the pigs? Surely, Jesus knew the demons wished to slay the pigs. Why did Jesus satisfy the evil desire of the demons? The loss of so many lives seems appalling.
Pigs swim I believe there more to unstand . why the pigs.
Can't he cast them directly into the bottomless pit immediately?
Because back then pigs were considered as "unclean" …hence why an unclean spirit would choose that.
Although the pigs are animals, they're not dumb, they ran to the water because demons thrive in dry places!

Why did the demons want to be in the pigs specifically, wouldn’t they have just wanted to be cast out and then go find another person to possess? I don’t understand that part and also I don’t know why they all went into the water and drowned. Did Jesus cause that and it’s not like it kills the demons, so what was the point?
