  1. It is NOT just diet and exercise tho. Like for anything, some ppl are luckier than others are the genetic lotto. Yes, there are fat/metabolism genes, just as there are breast cancer genes and genes for eye and hair color. For the same food eaten and same level of exercise, and same height and gender, some ppl will be fat while others will be slender. That is why fat-shaming is wrong. Not saying being obese is healthy and that one shouldn't try to reach a healthy weight. Just that the equation isn't that simple – it's harder for some than for others. And BMI is BS. Fat percentage and waist size is a much better metric of health with regards to weight. Someone who has a lot of muscle can rate as obese on the BMI. Ridiculous.

    Oprah had lost weight way too fast with a crash diet and started putting on weight again the next week, and ended up heavier than when she started. Yes, one needs to have a healthy weight, but that crazy pressure that made ppl do such unhealthy crash diets… I hope that's less than it was.
