All that clash is mostly in Europe. The US started the war, and they have to deal with Muslims in the streets. And France has been liberal about it. These ISIS extremists that are in France now are different. They had a beheading and then another extremist did it again. They have had it. The right-wing is looking to topple the government and they are calling for an even stronger response to Islamic Extremism. This is just more support for abusing this population.
If you think Macron is intense, the right-wing in France wants to do something they cannot even say. Le Pen during the campaign only showed that she felt that Islamist ideology was attacking the foundations of the Republic. Le Pen and the right-wing in France is going to continue to push the Muslim community to be more proactive about extremism.
I like Macron, but this may not work long term. France has been fighting in never ending quagmires all over the world. France still does have a very strong military prescience in Africa. France is very good at fighting. You don't want to screw with French. They will kill you. They are the people who taught the US military how to fight a guerilla war.
