Custer was so prejudice against Native Americans and of course he was a Democrats, he had planned to run for president of America, yes. Thankful he was killed by a Native, apparently he didn't realize who he killed. I am a decent of Alaskan Native, but crazy thing, glad the US purchased Alaska and we are not under Russia.
Over my 40 yrs of working big construction, occasional an Indian guy from a reservation would come along. I specifically remember 2 guys that I got to know pretty well. One was Navajo and the other was Cheyenne. They were some nice guys, good workers and wanted to represent their heritage well, but very ferocious if you got on the wrong side of em. If it sounds racist or not, I don't know how else to put it, but whatever you did, you did NOT want those guys drinking whiskey. No sir!
I hate the term "native". I'm Diné. There's no such thing as native.
Being tribal police in Lamedeer Montana on the reservation most of our serious crimes are by outsiders who bring drugs in and most of the poaching is asian people trespassing, Mexicans and blacks bringing drugs so yep im busy arresting people all the time. STOP coming to the reservation and our crime won't be so high.
