  1. This woman (Weiss) almost single handedly caused me to question everything the NYT’s published. Her opinions about Tulsi and Bernie were so off and not based on anything other than sound bites and impressions. I agreed with Joe on this one and hope Tulsi finds footing again in the next election. She is perhaps the only candidate who can unite both sides- or enough that she could be a serious contender. Her challenge is that she disagrees with both the established powerful Dems (thus is out of favor with corporate interests and mainstream media) and Repubs (she is in favor of diverting some of the MIC funds to things like infrastructure, healthcare, green energy etc.) so she finds herself without the backing of a party. If the “alt middle” can unite around a candidate like this she has a future. But- will this country (conservatives In particular) elect a practicing Hindu soon? I would vote for her in a heartbeat but not sure we’ve made enough progress yet for that to happen. I would like to see Tulsi and Yanis Varoufakis on Joe’s show together to discuss how investments in things they help humanity (infrastructure, healthcare, green energy) would not only create jobs but help us get out of this mess we are in. Government investments should focus on both (economic growth and humanity improvements) instead of just military and corporate interests. Sadly- we bail out corporations and feed the MIC before we think about the common American.
