  1. Hi Rob, Sending my Pre Trib theory here because I can’t comment of your page because we aren’t friends but I believe I can show some strong evidence for the pre-trib theory.

1 Thes 4:15-17 states, 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

We see in Rev 4 and 5 before the opening of the scroll which starts the Tribulation there are 24 elders around the throne (wearing white robes and crowns just as believers are promised, see Rev 3:4-5 and James 1:12, Peter 2:9-10 and Rev 5:10.)

So by this vision of elders, who fit the description of human believers acting as kings and priests (presumably on a rotating system like in the Old Testament), we can know that the first resurrection has happened BEFORE the tribulation has begun.

The only ways I can see that those who are already believers (not those who come to believe after the trib has started) would be part of the tribulation on earth is if there is no immediate change of those who are alive like 1 Corinthians 15:51 states – “51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”

Or this happens later at the closing of the first resurrection (more on that later) so only those already dead are resurrected early on and already reigning while we wait and go through the tribulation and are changed later.

The other way is if you can prove the elders around the throne are not humans which I have found no evidence for and I would leave the burden of proof to you should you claim this.

To clarify my understanding of Pre-Trib rapture I would state that the Rapture of the church simply means the carrying away of the church from earth to heaven.

The Greek word from this term “rapture” appears in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, translated “caught up.” to the clouds/heavens. The Latin translation of this verse used the word rapturo which is where we got the term Rature. The Greek word is harpazo, which means to snatch or take away. Elsewhere it is used to describe how the Spirit caught up Philip near Gaza and brought him to Caesarea (Acts 8:39) so we see this is a physical experience which includes the need for the dead to be resurrected. Hence the mixing of the ideas between rapture and resurrection.

It is not one or the other but both.

The way I see it is that the First Resurrection happens at the start of Revelations and continues for those who die up until Rev 20:4-5 which says “i saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge [again another reference to a promise to believers as stated in 1 Cor 6:12]. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They a had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.)”

It states that is is the end of the first resurrection and the second will not be until after the 1000 years.

It is my understanding that this whole period before that cut off point is called the first resurrection, whether you experience it at the beginning aka Pre-Trib or the end because you did not become a believer until after the scroll was opened.

I believe the elders and those given authority to judge fit perfectly the description and promises of believers. This means that at lease part of the resurrection has to be Pre-Tribulation.

    I hope this makes sense.

I myself agree that this isn’t “nail in the coffin proof” and all laid out neatly step by step but I also struggle to find “nail in the coffin proof” in a step by step nature for how Jesus first coming was prophesied to play out. Yet we are happy to jump around and read into scriptures to support it.

Happy to chat more to clarify and points because it is so difficult to explain in a comment.

  2. Pressure gradients are present in fluid columns. What causes pressure gradients is up for debate, however a containment dome isn't required. Whatever causes up and down is providing the necessary action required. When God seperated the fluids from the fluids, he gave us our Z axis.
