  1. Claressa knows her history. She also knows Ann Wolfe was better than Laila Ali. Laila was fine in her day, and I was a fan of hers, but the sport evolves and the challenge evolves.
    Claressa Shields became world Champion by her 4th pro fight.
    She became undisputed Champion by her 7th pro fight
    Won every title in her division by her 9th pro fight
    Won her first title in her 2nd division by her 10th pro fight
    Won every title in her 2nd division by her 11th pro fight.

    Claressa shields accomplished more in 11 fights than Laila did in 24.

    Ann Wolfe also accomplished more than Laila did, which is why Laila didn't want to fight her. Remember Laila wanted to fight Vonda Ward… Ann Wolfe put the kibosh on that and Laila wanted no parts of her.

    Laila left in her prime right as more boxing organizations were getting serious about their belts and rankings, but she left not long after winning the WBC title which had just been created and she beat an MMA fighter to get.

    Anyway, Laila retired at her peak right when Women's Boxing was getting taken seriously and more belts were being created. That's on her. Claressa created a greater legacy than hers in 11 fights. That's on Laila, not Claressa. So Laila needs to stop hating.

  4. I think Wolf is the only fighter Shields is afraid of hahaha. I don't blame her. Wolf still works out. I love Shields but even in retirement, she don't want no parts of Anne Wolf. She would wife the floor with Ali though.
