It's crazy how much they've lost perspective on reality lol.. I can't believe it. I understand money isn't the key to happiness and it's not everything.. However them down playing being financially stable this HARD show's how much perspective they've lost on their younger selves. None of them would still be working half as hard and enjoying the luxuries they enjoy if money didn't mean anything to them. Just money and shelter you say? Okay go live in a 1k apartment and eat mcdonalds and ramen – see how much your happiness dips from where it's at now. I understand joe brings up a few points about how eating at a nice restaurant and not worrying or not stressing about rent is all good and dandy.. but what about knowing you can put your kids through college, what about not worrying about visiting the doctor and being charged 10k? What about being able to get your car fixed without it ruining your month cause of the financial strain? What about being able to take care of your parents, brothers, children, close friends? What about the vacations? Not worrying about retirement? This is just getting started… there is so much shit having money makes you not worry about OR even just things you get to experience that you've always wanted to.. ie traveling.. Anyways, those are just the things off the top of my head – being financially FREE is the biggest thing to conquer for someone who is already happy and healthy mentally. I'm not saying it'll help a depressed or obese person – but for a large group of people it would move them from a 7/10 to a 9/10.. Which is a big jump in terms of life 🙂
