Another article on Google yesterday ressurecting the brilliant idea of putting statins in our water supply and starting children on statins as a preemptive measure. Unbelievable.
I've always had 'high' cholesterol. Despite being underweight to normal weight throughout my life. My HDL is MUCH higher than my LDL. My hubs has a 'normal' chol level but his HDL is low and LDL is high. He also eats well, is active, normal weight. I think this was simply a way to capitalize on a number on a sheet with a Rx they could tell someone to take every day for the rest of their life.
Holy shit at the all the medically illiterate comments under this video.

MISINFORMATION ! Statins saves lives, prolongs lives, particularly in folks with hereditary heart disease.
