  1. Are there any videos, where Joe shares his opinion about Pride FC Rules? With that I mean, where he debates about kicking/stomping a grounded opponent. I mean, I love watching these old Fedor or Shogun fights, where this was allowed. It added more dynamic and exitement, because between a Knockdown and a TKO, were a few seconds. I kinda understand why it isn't still allowed in Real fights.

I became a Fan of the Sport through Video Games tho, I think through UFC Undisputed 2009.
I loved the Games, but when I started to watch more old MMA Fights, I stumbled about the Pride FC and when you watched a Highlight Clip from Pride, you saw at least one soccer kick from Emilianenko. He had only 1 Loss at that time and everyone the internet went wild, because of his impressive KO against Arlovski and Rogers. And I asked myself, why don't they allow the Pride Rules in UFC or Strikeforce? Also I thought I'd be sweet if THQ would add Pride to the Game.
As MMA became more popular in Video Game Culture, there followed Games where you were able to attack grounded Opponents.
With the Xbox One, there literally was one Series and it was EA Sports UFC. Although it had kick ass graphics, I missed the change of rules.

It bothers me that since 'UFC Undisputed 3' and 'EA Sports MMA', there wasn't a single fighting Game, where you could choose the set of Rules and allow knees and kicks on the ground.
I do not understand why not just add this option for the Fans.
The Last UFC Games where pretty much very alike and imo they had a lack of diversity. EA Sports MMA, was not only cool, because you could choose the Rules. They had different Leagues, like Bellator or Strikeforce and their Roster.
UFC Undisputed 3 was slightly better and was the se two were the peak of MMA Games.

Not only that MMA almost pulled even with boxing when it comes to viewers and such. It took over the Gaming Industry. The Fight Night Franchise disappeared and whe just get MMA Games. I think it is great, that MMA evolved to be a big thing in the society and it was belittled too long. Unfortunately the 'fight simulation' games industry evolved backwards. It is all about the UFC, and there isn't anything else on the marked because EA just focused on this.
We need competition to the UFC, how great would be a Pride FC Comeback with the old Rules, where Fighters from all over the World can compete and make a name, a side from the UFC.
There are so many talented young fighters who want to compete in the UFC, but although they've got the skills, they bare get noticed on national level.
Every other MMA League is too little. Look at GMC, Cage Warrior Fc and so on. There are fighters with experience, but they never get a shot.
Another Alternative would be MMA as a Olympic Discipline, so we get more diversity into the fighting scene. And the rules should contain kicks to a grounded opponent, as a legal Action.
If someone gets kicked to the head if s/he is standing or on his back/all fours, where is the difference? There is always a risk of concussion.

I'd like to hear one good reason why it shouldnt be allowed. Idk if Joe Rogan is too biased, because he works for the UFC, or if he actually can make himself loose from that. Either way, his personal take on the set of rules in pride would be interesting.
