Those who still believe that that earth rotates the Sun instead of the Earth being still & the Sun rotating about despite the crystal clear text here & in other verses have little faith in God’s Word & in my opinion are idolaters. The Messiah is the Word made flesh but if you do not believe his Word then how can you be His?

So for a long time I was deceived but when the truth came to light it illuminated the Word in wonderful clarity. The flood. The stars falling to earth in revelation.The Sun running its race.The use of the word up & down. The great deep…EVERYTHING makes more sense.

Bad English translation. The Hebrew words for "stand still" can mean "stop, " "rest," or "become inactive." One root meaning is "darken." It mentions both the Sun and Moon. What happens when the Moon gets in front of the Sun? You get a solar eclipse.
