  1. Joe, Brother…you gotta know there are good chiros and bad ones just like anything else in the world. The education is intense! 5 years post graduate AFTER 4 years undergrad. Chiropractors ARE doctors. I love your show but your chiropractic views are tainted. Chiros have helped so many and the science is sound. Getting into Chiropractic college…easy. Graduating…the dropout rate is pretty big because it is seriously difficult. Sorry you had a lousy experience, should have tried a different one. Not all MDs are equal, same with chiros. You should interview a cool chiro on your show like Dr. John Demartini, or Dr. Fab Mancini.

  2. A Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Chiropractic, Doctor of Osteopathy, and Doctor of Medicine are all Doctors. It's worth mentioning that the medical field has some pretty shady stuff in their past as well, including mesmerism, snake oil salesmen, lobotomies for depression, and heroine prescriptions for a cough. All of the healthcare professions have evolved over time. Joe can speak intelligently on a lot of topics but for some reason he's buried his head in the sand on this one. Invite an eloquent science-based chiropractor on the show who can explain the pathology, biomechanics, and neurology behind modern chiropractic.

  3. Being called a doctor is relative to the level of eduction one receives – ie doctorate schooling. Chiropractors go to graduate school at chiropractic school and are doctors of chiropractic, state licensed and nationally board certified. Dentists, PTs and optometrists are also doctors that don’t go to medical school, they are still doctors. Ask questions before you condemn and spew hate. Chiropractic is still around because it gets results. Just because you had a bad experience with a chiropractor doesn’t make them all bad.

  4. Joe… please look, compare and “experience” the origins of health care, Medicine and medical practices. MD’s, for example, did some strange things 100+ years ago too. The origins of health care generally aren’t pretty. Blood letting was a normal practice in Medical Doctors offices for example. We don’t need you to waste time comparing Moden proven effective modalities (including chiropractic) of health care with what went on OVER 100 years ago. You are clearly not an expert in health care. Sorry you went to a bad Chiro, there are some out there…. Like in any profession. Ever go to a bad dentist? Or have a bad teacher? Many are fantastic, you went to a bad one. An MD? Not all “real” docs are MD’s. Look up doctors of Osteopathic. Your “real doctor” may not have been an M.D. either, but may have been a D.O., who also trained to “manipulate” joints, not unlike a Chiropractor. Chiropractic is legitimate. Did you know that VA Hospitals employee Doctors of Chiropractic?
Chiropractic colleges? Few students and many Chiropractic colleges equals high acceptance rates. You can’t just walk in and breeze though. They require a bachelors pre-med level of education to get in. Also, getting in once qualified is extremely easy.. but getting out with a Doctorate in Chiropractic is very difficult. Why few students? It’s expensive with no guarantee of higher income after. Please look further into topics before spewing misinformation. Thanks!
