My chiropractor always said that the spinal cord/ nerves being pinched in your spine can cause serious issues but it’s mainly just extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. He said his job was just to put everything back into place until the muscle and tissue holds everything in place like it was originally suppose to be. And he just tells you to come back whenever you feel like you need an adjustment and to stop coming back whenever you feel that everything is fixed. I only go when my hips pop out of place from crawling under houses at work. I have no complaints about the physical therapist aspect of the adjustment and regeneration of the muscle and tissue
Get ur history right! Chiropractic word is new but manipulation goes way back 500bc. Read Hippocrates book ( father of medicine) and also Avencina ( known as doctors of doctors) in his book canon of medicine and healing book, they both talk about manipulation and importance of spinal health. Lots u don’t know Joe. Just sitting down and shouting loool but love u and ur show lol ❤
here, check out one of my stories — The craziest chiropractor experience i ever had – shane zoglman
My dad was the best chiropractor ever. He had a DO. I read the origins of chiropracting as a teen and was horrified. But good ones are good 👍🏻
I went to a chiropractor years ago for back issues, it was ok. It definitely feels good to get your back cracked. However, i started doing some research on the origins of chiropractic and it made me get a second opinion. I went to a Physiatrist and he put more emphasis on the muscles rather than the straghtening of the spine, because he believed the muscles are what support the spine and they should be the focus. I basically went through his treatment and I found much more lasting success with my back pain than I ever did with chiropractic because it basically emphasized exercise to strengthen the muscles in order to alleviate back pain rather than 'adjusting' my spine to relieve back pain. Needless to say, I don't really recommend chiro unless you only want temporary pain relief. I'm all for physiatry and massage for pain relief other than serious pain. Again, this is just personal experience, I'm not a doctor
