I’ve had three girlfriends in my life and they each used me. I’ve been single since then. I been single for over 24 years, I’m 51 now. I do and don’t want anyone anymore. I’ve never been any females type. I never got married. I struggle with lustful thoughts. I pray to God to take away this desire to have a girlfriend or wife. I don’t want it. How can I get rid of the desire to have a family? God doesn’t want me to be with anyone.
I rebuke lust in Jesus name. Lord give us strength to fight and defeat lust. Bless God. Amen
The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write in 1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
This is a most significant promise of rescue from those things that so easily defeat us and crush our conscience. One would think that because God created sexual desire with all the hormones, sensitive nerves in strategic locations, and pleasure chemicals, like dopamine, burning in our members that He would surely give singles and deprived spouses a way to escape. Did He? Yes. But the devil has lied to us and called the escape route another sex sin and we will go to hell if we do it.
It is a sex act, isn’t it? Therefore, it has to be unclean, unholy, wanton, lascivous.
In Leviticus 18, our Holy, Righteous Father, who pours out His wrath on sin, hates evil, Created hell to imprison and punish evil in extreme torment, gave Moses all the sex sins to put into the Torah, the Law, for the new nation of Israel that He was giving birth to through Moses. If He forgets one sin, He will leave them committing this evil that He despises forever in ignorance. And on Judgement Day, He will have the monster problem of admitting He forgot it and can’t judge it. Did He forget to give Moses one of the sex sins? Yes. Can God forget? God forgot to give Moses masturbation and so on Judgement Day He will have to admit His error and not judge it. Do you think God forgot? If not, then why didn’t He tell Moses? There can only be one answer. Masturbation is not a sin but it is our way of escape from the monster sexual desire that tempts us so much. It is God’s mercy to help us to bear it. But satan has lied to us and very convincingly through our programmed negative emotions of HATE and ANGER built up from our battle against the temptation, our bias opinion that sex is dirty from the dirty jokes, porn, and sewer language, and fallacious logic calling sexual desire, that God created and calls VERY GOOD (Genesis 1:31), LUST. All is LUST and unholy.
The lust accusation comes from Jesus’ words when He defined adultery as, first, a sin of the heart. He said that the person committed adultery when the person lusted in his heart.
Matthew 5:28
But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
“To lust” is an infinitive verb. Jesus points to the action of lusting after a person from our heart. But the devil tricks us and turns the verb into a noun. Now the heart is full of that monster lust that tempts us to sin. And we hate it. My friends, what is in us is not lust. It is sexual desire that our Holy, Righteous Father created and put in us. He thinks it is beautiful, not a monster.
Lust is sexual desire out of control. Out of control means desiring satisfaction from that which God calls sin. AND IT IS GOD’S JOB TO DEFINE SIN, NOT OURS. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us this.
Isaiah 55:8-9
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Our programmable feelings, bias opinions, and fallacious logic disqualifies us. That is why the Holy Spirit put these verses in the Scriptures:
Deuteronomy 4:2
You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 12:32
“Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Proverbs 30:5-6
Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
Revelation 22:18-19
A Warning
For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Because God did not say masturbation is a sin, we cannot say it.
