  1. This parable is a riddle. Most people only see it as face value, thinking that the entire point is that we should try to love others like the Good Samaritan did on the injured man. It actually goes deeper than that.

Let's back up. The question was "Who is my neighbor". Jesus replied with the parable of the Good Samaritan. Then he asked, "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell on the hands of the robbers?" The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him".

The answer of "who is a neighbor" in this case was "The one that had mercy" on the injured man.

So, back to the Law of God, "Love your neighbor as yourself". Keep in mind, the neighbor was the one that showed mercy, the Samaritan.

If that is true, then the real point is we must love those that have mercy upon us (according to the definition of what a neighbor is in this parable). The Samaritan was defined as the neighbor, and not actually the injured man himself.

This parable is a mirroring of what Jesus did for us, he had mercy on sinners and this is why we must love God, because he first loved us by showing mercy to us.

So, to summarize, in order to inherit eternal life, we must do two things:

    1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind.

    2. Love your neighbor (your benefactor, those that help you, those that look after you, care for you, have your best interest, the Good Samaritans in your life) as yourself.

  2. before GOD DID GREAT MIRACLES in First Century Churches, they did surrendered their all to GOD(Acts2:42-47;4:32-37).we cannot fool GOD IN CHRIST.We should value our Salvation. Do not let your salvaion be lost like when you give your tithes and offerings to the synagogues (James2:2-9)of the devil which has not passed the standard of GOD to be HIS HOUSE. you are cursed with a curse when you have done those evil things already and separated FROM GOD, if not repent and return to GOD.
    Luke 15:7
[7]I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
