Daryl Davis was born in 1958, which means the guy who complimented him was probably born around 1940. Imagine being born in 1940, being an apparent fan of rock n roll music, but not knowing who little Richard and fats domino are.
I remember when Joe Rogan called this great man "Planet of the Apes"

I think I just kinda realized, and of course this may not be true but I'd like think it's true, or maybe I'm just high as fuuuuck. But, that first guy at the bar Daryl met, that bought him a drink. I think it may have been that guy's first attempts of trying to break free of his curse. How lucky was he that it was Daryl Davis.
This is why sometimes I just can't help but to have faith and hope that, good energy attracts each other, constantly seeking to connect and creating more good energy. It may be very slow….but it eventually spreads around. Sometimes a lot get taken out at one time, so they just have to rebuild themselves again, slowly.
