Anytime we have to turn the water valve off and back on in our buildings, it releases debris.
It is safe. We try to flush it at the far end of the building through faucets and such but some still makes it to a tenant.
They always act like they're going to die. Coughing and making horrible faces like an ax murderer is there…
It's a little rust, iron and rubber seal – Completely sanitized by the chlorine in the pipes.
I've had several people call the Health department and OSHA and other entities that say… "That's normal and poses no risk".
But they still try to make a big deal of it and have to go home so they don't die.
This is in Dallas where Superior water is and is the best in USA.
Now JRE is probably a totally different issue!
