I think the most telling part of this whole video is that Daryl describes the KKK as part of "our history".
He doesn't celebrate it, but he acknowledges it isn't "white" or "white American" history, but simply "American". Whether descended from the English settlers, African slaves, or Asian immigrants of the last 100 years, we're all Americans.
No division or shaming, even in victory. What a class act, and an amazing pianist as well.
