Joe, DMX actually didn’t die from an overdose. In fact, there was no trace of any controlled substance. He was actually at his longest streak of sobriety since the time he quit when his grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. His last stint in Rehab was NOT forced on him. He checked himself in, did the work, and was the happiest he’d ever been.
Go watch his “Verzuz” battle with Snoop Dog and pay very close attention. He was so serious about his sobriety and being there for his family that he wouldn’t even smoke weed and drink alcohol. Only the people close to him know the whole truth… but whoever and whatever was responsible for it is in a position of power whether inside or outside the music/entertainment industry.
He deserves way more respect than he got while he was alive. DMX was one of the greatest ever.
