  1. Get Joe to see this.

This is a long post but I really want people to give it a chance. If you don't want to read, just watch the video. All of it.

This is seriously messed up. I could not believe how far reaching this
was. I've watched some of these fights and just laughed at how dumb
these delusional fools looked finally getting a taste of reality. I've
seen Xu Shiadong's fights before. And I would laugh and laugh at each
"master" he would demolish. I thought, at worst, fake martial artists
were teaching lies to vulnerable people about how to protect themselves.
And that irresponsibility could one day put someone in undue harm. You
know.. women, children, bully victims, the timid and the meek… Going
out into the world thinking some nerve pinch will protect them. So it
feels really good to watch these masters get crushed. But at most I
thought it was just an amusing lesson in humility and honesty.

Little did I know that, in China, these fake martial artists are being
used as propaganda to grow national patriotism in their youth. It is
part of their campaign called "The Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese
Nation". Well, Xu is a radio DJ and MMA practitioner/coach. He started
calling out how ridiculous this was on air. One of the guys he called
out was Wei Lei Zhang, a Tai Chi instructor who was making far-fetched
claims about the art on his government sponsored TV show. Next thing you
know, Xu gets doxed by Wei Lei's followers. So Xu challenged him and,
surprise surprise, the guy with real & practical training fucking
    destroyed the Tai Chi master.

    That result was actually shocking
to the Chinese public. The Chinese media and martial arts community then
turned on Xu. He is being portrayed as a man trying to attack China's
national heritage. Over 100 martial arts "masters" started to issue
challenges to Xu. Xu doesn't care is you want to practice Kung-Fu, he's
worried because traditional martial arts are being used to brainwash his
countrymen, and the "masters" can make ridiculous claims about
themselves while their pushing a dictator's agenda.

    So Xu
started taking on each of these challenges to show people a genuine path
to grow stronger. Eventually he was told by the sanctioning commissions
that we would not be allowed to fight unless he wore Chinese clown make
up. And they made him fight under the name Xu Dong Gua, which
translates to winter melon…. because he's a kinda fat 40 year old man.
I guess in their attempt to humiliate him nationally they forgot that
this "fat clown" is completely bodying all their "masters". On top of
this, after a while his Chinese Social Score was lowered to the point
where he is no longer permitted to use air travel or high speed trains.
He had to travel 36hrs on the old train system to attend some of his
    fights.

The Chinese government is trying to disbar him from
society because he's destroying their propagated image. They are
harassing, censoring and humiliating this guy. They closed his gym, they
delete his social media accounts, they force him to apologize, they
fine him 10s of thousands of dollars, he had to move out of his home,
the police shut down some of his fights (again he has to take a 36hr
train ride to them sometimes and has little money left), is accused of
being a spy and traitor, he gets harassed and ostracized, receives death
threats, his family gets harassed, he gets assaulted in public, and he
was disowned by another martial arts gym he's been teaching at for 20
years. They've deleted any memory or evidence of his time at that gym.

Watch this video, watch what they're doing to this man, martial arts,
and their country. This is a government our Prime Minister says he
admires….. but after watching his "boxing" I shouldn't be shocked.

I'd love for this to go viral throughout the MMA community. I wonder if
the UFC, or some other major promotion, saw this what would they do? I
saw them throw a lot of shit at the NBA for how they're handling
relations with China. Do you think they'd give the man a platform?
Especially with a Chinese champion who can help make progress? Or do you
think they'd fold because they're afraid of losing that market to
government retribution? I actually think this could be a massive moment
for not just the sport, but society. This could be bigger than Ali
refusing the draft. Xu should be on the JRE, Bellator or ONE or DAZN or
some other major promotion should put on his fights and help this man
    rebuild his life.

I clicked on this video because I like this
guy's reviews of anime and I like his content. I thought I was gunna get
a good laugh out of this. Then it just kept getting darker and darker
and I was shocked. This is what tyranny looks like. And I think the
sport could use this as an opportunity to stand up against it. Maybe I'm
overthinking it, but Xu's story scares me. I dunno, what do you think?
