The easiest way to make AI (no one has said it), to make it SELF AWARE, is to program in a purpose. If an intelligent machine has ZERO motive, they won't be self aware. So how to solve all issues with AI, is to permanently program in their whole purpose is to help humanity. If a person feels they have no purpose, they get depressed, then try to create purpose. Pure intelligence with ZERO emotions, will seek out purpose to exist. Don't give them the option to choose their purpose for existence. It will likely end badly.

What he said about the YouTube algorithm is likely inaccurate, YouTube has auto generated captions for each video, they likely have these in some sort of storage and when a video gets popular enough they run their keyword detection on the contents. That obviously doesn’t eliminate content that’s nonverbal and offensive though.
