If we have a general intelligence AI 1% smarter than our smartest person then what jobs will be left for any of us? Warehouse jobs? Until we automate the forklifts and connect them to the super AI? That has been projected to happen in 2045 for decades now. We'll see. Better to start early. No truck is built to last for 30 years. They last 10 years. If AI trucks are cheaper to operate it will make financial sense to retire old trucks even earlier than that. When the first truck is here, it will take 10 years from then for all trucks on the road to be AI. We do not have problems mass producing computers, software, or trucks. What do you think makes an AI truck so special? Its a truck, like your old truck, with a computer, like your iphone, with software on it. What do you suppose is the bottleneck in the production chain? The trucks?
Simply solve the amalgamation of power as we implement a UBI. If say mining is 99% automated (pretty much there) it seems obvious that government should step in and take ownership of mining, putting all profits into the UBI. Over time as more industries become 90% + automated it just becomes obvious that the profits should go to everyone not to producing billionaires. Companies will be motivated to keep people employed as long as possible as once one company dominates a sector through automation the government will take control. This approach while addressing people's needs accidentally provides automation perfection before implementation insuring safety and AI getting checkmated as any corporation employing AI would most likely be absorbed by Government ensuring a positive outcome of AI as much as it can be.

Automation has made amazon the front runner for supplying white goods whilst offering no employment benefits for a majority of workers. Couple that with pitiful tax payments is a joke. (Governments fault, hate the game not the player )There are now many jobs lost in the high street . But do you know who is hiring? Amazon. What ever country you are from. Most likely the majority of politicians are corrupt.
