  1. The difference is if this is actual reality is that we are theoretically more incontrol of our fate however if we are infact in a simulation then we are trapped… That no matter how advanced our civilization necomes within the simulation, no matter what we do, we can never escape its boundaries… Or can we?
Point is, if it is a simulation in any sense then one day who or whatever is in charge could just… Turn it off, turn us off. Or worse reset us so that every meaningful interaction and memory we ever made every bond every invention every philosophical discussion on life reality faith meaning. Everything could be taken, stolen from us and therefore mean nothing. Like a new game save or rewinding a movie where only the observer would know and remember what happened and the rest of us would just be oblivious. Could deja vu be us some how remembering before the reset or loading of the last save/ scene? Like residual files that werent removed from the cache? Could it also be why history repeats itself could that be by design in the programs set rules and parameters? If we knew the truth would it make choices, morals, relationships, "LIFE" itself meaningless? Is it possible that we could bend the simulated "reality" to our will or are we bound by our coding to be eternally restricted? Is there truths to positive affirmations? Is that us altering the simulation by sheer will? Can there be glitches like when you drop something it disappears or when you swear you put an item in a specific location and it disappears? So many unanswered question and currently unprovable answers.

  2. I don’t think simulation is the right word. A simulation of what? A simulation is a copy. But our experience is the reality, it’s the OG. Our experience may be an interface with some underlying physics and math, but it’s not simulating anything, it’s the real thing.
