This is a distorted representation of Brexit, and of why half of the UK fell for it.
the danger of Brexit succeeding which it is and will do so further in the future is untenable to the EU. They cannot let it succeed so they had to put barriers in place to stop it from being so.
But it's inevitable it will succeed due to the nature of the EU. Every Brexit success is a dent in the EU's armour, giving a reason for another country to leave.
Lets look at Europe now , shifting righwards, in Germany,France, Italy , Spain all over.The EU in 5 years will be filled with right wing goverments, yet the UK left clamours for it. Why, the EU has nothing for them, it goes against all their principles.
the US thinks Europe is socialist, it's not, it's more right wing that the US.The US is now the socialist woke state.
Brexit is what happens when you let people Who only care about cutting their taxes and killing regulations run the country for so long that they can lie to the people with zero consequences, those people got screwed and there is a reason that no country is trying to leave the EU now, they see what it did to the UK.
It’s very difficult for US citizens to completely understand Brexit, because you’d have to understand what the EU is, how it works, know all the countries that are in it, and know how every country’s government works. I’m a US citizen myself, and I had no idea what brexit really meant until I moved to Germany 2 years ago. Once you live over here, watch the news, learn about the governments, and follow European politics, you begin to grasp the situation. Brexit should be seen as the first definitive stance or action regarding the future of Europe from within the EU block. Before brexit, ideas were thrown out, but the EU was a passive union without direction. Whether brexit was good or bad is besides the point. The effects and the way it has influenced European politics is what should be the focus of conversation.
