I don’t think that is exactly what mansplaining is. My girlfriend explained it to me like this:
“It is basically when, in a conversation, a man assumes that a woman doesn’t understand the particular topic being discussed and goes on to explain it to us like we don’t understand, usually in a condescending fashion. It is the assumption that because we are a woman, we don’t know, and is only called “MANsplaining” because it is not a thing that women do to each other.”
I can definitely understand where she is coming from when put like that, and know I have done that unconsciously in some conversations. Just something to be more aware about. Love the show btw 👊🏽

People with real problems, the average everyday sort, have to constantly deal with average aggressions, micro aggressions, and even macro aggressions. it's heinous that they have to be given these categorical names, period. As if it's not bad enough, those in power, and those THINK they are in power are quite actively trying to KILL the citizenry (aka peasants), and here you are actively downgrading those situations , while in RL: Mansplaining it a concert of degradation, filibustering, and looking down one's nose to women and other minorities. Concurrent with mansplaining, dismissal, and even downright narcissistic attacks on minorities and women for pointing out the "stupid" obvious.
And that's an aside from the social anxiety and depression driven faultlines, that alllllllll the formerly noted bring to the table. So someone wants to tell kids of any age, it's ok to feel a different gender identity at any age. We should also write books about other hot issues plaguing children….who we've crossed of the adult lists as having any serious conflict….and it's a dick move.
