They were complaining about why they went to the wilderness no food no water…then god sent snakes to bite them. I think about Jesus how he said what father when their son is hungry gives them snakes to eat? If u know how to treat your sons good how much more your father in heaven? Many people and churches have misunderstood the story of the Bronze Snake. It is a prophecy about the Cross reverence.
Israelite thought that the Bronze Snake had the power to save them even though the words of God saved them. So they worshiped the Bronze Sname for about 800 years. You can see it in 2 Kings 18:3. How idiot.
The story of the Bronze Snake is a prophecy of the crucifixion of Jeus Christ. The sacrifice of Jeus saves us, but many Christians worship the Cross as the Israelites did. The Cross is an idol.
The Bible says that as worshiping the Bronze Snake is wrong, worshiping the Cross as a symbol of the church is false.
