Its probably a money laundering scheme
the fact that both cats and Doolittle had the same studio (universal) is what's really sad. they lost sooo much money in a matter of months lol. 1917 was sandwiched in between those two films, and while it was a critical darling, it's not really done a whole lot at the box office, and definitely not enough to help the loss from these other two films. who the fuck is in charge at universal, especially since cats and Doolittle sound like terrible films from the beginning? who approved this, they should be fired?
