If one desires to know if the earth is flat or a globe, the answer is actually fairly easy to discover. At the equator the circumforance is roughly 24,900 miles. Now check the distance at the next 2 latitudes discovering the more one heads toward the North pole the smaller the circumference becomes. Finally, check out the next 2 latitudes below the equator, notice the circumference is increasingly bigger the farther south you go, however this is only on the flat earth map. Using flight plans one will see the circumference actually diminishes, meaning in reality the closer to the south pole you get the smaller the circumference gets.
