I haven't been back to Austin in ten years but between 2010 and 2012 I worked in the Whole Foods Culinary School on 6th Street (overnight from 9 pm – 5 am, I was the only one in there at night).
Since I was at UT, I was poor and didn't have a working car so I would take the bus down there. It would drop me off about a mile in half down sixth street (towards UT, the highway) and I walked the rest of the way there (and back at 5 am). I never saw homeless the entire time (that I can remember) in that area. Things have changed drastically there apparently.
I was in a car accident in Louisiana a few years ago. Left the hospital, wound up in downtown New Orleans at 2am looking for a CVS on foot to get some ibuprofen. My face was stitched up and bloody, black eye, the works. I passed stoop after stoop of shady characters, and the only thing anyone said was “oh shit, you good?” And that’s when I learned nobody messes with you if you look crazier than them
Downtown Austin A U Stink? This is what you get when you sneak 100,000 illegal Mexican construction workers into Austin and have 13 Trillion dollars to launder as SkyScrapers. Maybe we are talking 911 Payoff Money or Saudi Oil Money but we are talking 13 Trillion in New Construction Buildings. Sort of like Harbor Fright Ghouls business model___opening 10 new stores per week. Well, do some research on Austin 10 years ago vs today__every old building was knocked down and every parking lot was snapped up for a new SkyScraper. Austin is a UFO City and it is starting to stink like an NSA or CIA First Strike City where it is actually a Ghost-Town with virtually no people living in the city. The new Google building is full of Google AI Robots and Servers.
Let's examine the Homeless Situation on 7th since that is where the Homeless can find fake resources from ARCH and from the Devil Worshipping Buildings called Churches. What they are doing is using the fake homeless to steal Billions in grant money earmarked to help the homeless. Since KKK Corruption goes hand in hand with Billions in grant money__on the bottom stealing money from those in need and who have no advocates__like stealing candy from a baby.
You can't build mega SkyScrapers and not provide shelters and housing resources for those people on the bottom you have push below the economic pyramid. Did they build a huge 80 story YMCA in the form of the old NYC Twin Towers with housing units for 2000 Section 8 low income, no income residents. No. They built some crappy YMCA near the Amtrak train station that makes the old Bally's Jack La Lanes look pretty good.
So, why are there so many homeless in an Area where there are bars and restaurants? Because the city planners stole all the grant money to provide them with night shelters and low income housing. They stole the money and built more empty Skyscrapers. As the SkyScraper sprawl pushes towards the Homeless Resource AREA and the religious organizations___
Maybe Joe should interview the Austin Homeless Strategy Official, Dianna Grey, about why she resigned after only two years on the job. Imagine the money this chick was raking in but then it happened__she tried to actually help the homeless and she__had to go.

Anyway, after a year away from Los Angeles and only a few days in Austin I'm thinking of returning to Los Angeles but I'm broke and need someone to sponsor my plane or bus ticket. Of course if Joe sponsors my TV Show I'll stick around for a while__but not in downtown Austin where I'm still waiting for the 60 story Alex Jones Media Center, Apartments, and Hotel to go up with a TV studio on the street level like NBC's Studio 1A in Manhattan.
