Comedy, as anyone in their 40's knows it, is dead. Even Bill Burr has sold out and I LOVED that guy. The world is just too woke and PC now, they can't handle real comedy anymore. I've been scouring the internet the past couple years looking for SOMEONE funny and willing cross SOME line, SOMEWHERE. I can't find anyone who makes me laugh at this point, there's no edge anymore, they all play it way too safe now. It's gone.
You can definitely make those movies today but noone does because it's hard to make your money off it at the theaters. Superbad and Stepbrothers did wonders in DVD sales, that doesn't exist anymore. Streaming has killed smallet budget movies made for the bigscreen.
The jokes are on youtube. You can find shows with any type of humour. I've seen some video that some guy made with sonic characters. I think they all had butts but I remember sonics butt getting the most screen time. Also he was dating some older man who was also famous in the show. Oh and the guy who created this show, made like an hour long movie with these characters. The jokes in the show were some of the grossest but insane jokes ever. I wont lie, a lot of parts made me laugh. The more I watched his shows episodes, the more I stopped watching it because of it's immaturity.
You can't make comedy movies now because Zoomers may get offended.
