I met a man who runs one of the top private security companies, doing security for all kinds of celebrities. He said their black list was full of celebrity assholes who would start fights and expect security to finish them — and Robin Williams. However, the reason Robin was on their blacklist was because he was so insanely funny that he would make the team laugh so hard it was a liability for them, because the guys couldn't focus. True story.

I saw Robin Williams at "The Laff Stop" in Costa Mesa Ca. in 1971. He could do a 3 hour show in an hour. Unbelievable energy. Gallagher was the other act that night.
As a former actor myself (not pro–I didn't have the money) and V.O. artist, I still miss Robin Williams in ways I could never explain. I really needed someone like that for inspiration & validation of my own talents. Still… I was always ignored, cajoled, marginalized, used, abused and overlooked. He gave me hope. #outsiders
Who knows. Maybe my writing will make a difference, but… I doubt it–now that so many years have passed.
