We should never tolerate a whole chunk of society to choose the vagabond lifestyle, crap on sidewalks, not pay taxes, whatever and be allowed to live geographical among the taxpayers. Fence off a massive area outside of town for them since no one seems to know how to reduce this population. Vagabond zone / Taxpayer Zone.
Step #1: Round up any veterans living on street and really help them integrate into healthy society and off the street, whatever it takes. Great idea. Concentrate of them first. shame on us for allowing any veteran to live on the street for even one day.
Where does Joe get his information about the motivations of why people moves to San Fran – Fox News? I generally think Joe is a great guy all round but sometimes he forgets that he is in position that only a tiny fraction of people are and often goes on about losers, meaning people who have not succeeded like him or his guest. Look, I know he works really hard and he totally deserves his success. However, the majority of people are only a couple of rent/mortgage payments away from homelessness. Hell, I have lost my job twice this year. Once, due to lost business directly because of Covid-19, and secondly, the new role I got a job was a startup and they went bust 7 months later and I did not get paid the last 2 months. Never lost a job before in my entire life. Unbelievably stressful year, credit cards maxed out, etc. OK, I have a reasonably paid job now, but financially I am in the worst position I have ever been. I won't start feeling better until I've got a year's wages under the belt. Strange times.
It's almost 2023. The usa still haven't fixed the homeless problem.
