I wonder why people are "falling into homelessness" there?🤔 Maybe artificially inflating the cost of living by building multi-million dollar condos EVERYWHERE, inviting already rich tech workers to enjoy tax breaks and destroying low-cost housing changes a city. 🖕.
I was homeless in Austin for years. Off & on 2011-2015. So just before his term but also even before the pandemic and there's no way there's only 6000 homeless there. There are camps everywhere. San JAC, Downtown, on campus, Guadalupe, etc, etc. The only places there aren't homeless are in gated communities and even there sometimes is a hidden camp. That number is outrageously underestimated. Train hoppers come & go everyday as well and they were the worst of us as far as crime. Is he counting those numbers? I bet not.
