Fact is Reyes landed more shots in the 3rd and they were the much better shots. You can’t cherry pick where you want to uphold the “you have to BEAT the champion clearly to take the belt”. He won 3 rounds to Jon’s 2.. so Reyes won the fight as per the scoring system. The fact there was a 4-1 scorecard makes me think prewritten scorecard 100%.
Jon Jones is very solid, but a bit overrated. He had 10 draws where the judges had to gift him the win, and he used cheating strategies like repeated "accidental" eye pokes and banned chemicals. Very good, but not as good as the hype. When Fedor was at his peak and being called the GOAT he had 24 finish wins and 7 decision wins, all of them at heavyweight without cheating, while Jones has 17 finishes +10 decisions with cheating and most wins at light-heavyweight and not heavyweight…
24+7 > 17+10
