Simple explanation the government is racist stop the affirmative action in education and jobs. Do away with women and minority grants and stop complicating matters by letting more ppl in unless you need that professional and don't have them here like we're short on architects for this construction project let ppl in for stuff like that
What people don't understand(or just outrightly ignore) about the Asian situation is this: If let's say you have 100,000 Asian applicants. The majority of them will have high test scores to get in. Sure. Cool. 90% of those Asian applicants have very similar background/story/personality letters than your hands are tied at taking in less Asian students OR raise the testing average to admit an Asian student. It's very simple. Colleges/Universities don't enroll people simply based on test scores.
The amount of Asian students in Bostons/Cambridge IVY league schools are very high regardless of any of this stuff. I used to sell the graduation stuff to these folks at their campus stores so I KNOW FOR A FACT there are an EXTREMELY high number of Asians in these schools. I fail to see why there is a whole commotion. What this entire thing really boils down to is: Asian parents thinking other races children are dumb and shouldn't have a leg up over their child. It really boils all down to that. "HEY! MY CHILD MADE VALEDICTORIAN!! WHY ARE YOU LETTING IN THIS BARELY A-LATINA IN OVER MY CHILD!?! JUST BECAUSE SHE WAS TRAFFICKED AS A CHILD AND HAD TO TEACH HERSELF DOESN'T MAKE HER MORE SPECIAL THAN MY CHILD!!"
it's the exact same reason why with white students they had to expect more from their personal stories as they were basically all the same. They followed a formula which made the selection of them much harder. Problem is white folks are the majority so no one was crying spilled milk over it.
most Asians come from rich backgrounds and are foreigners so its easier for them to pay up and get into higher education than for actually minorities in this country, one example is how Xi Jinpings daugther went to harvard instead of a university on their own country, taking up a spot that could had gotten to a black, latino or white kid.
the main reason we have education in our country is to educate our kids so they can be prepare and enter our workforce equipped with better tools. but instead this spots are given to rich people from all across the pond, fuck them
So…….. the Supreme Court just overturned Affirmative Action Discrimination in college admissions.
