  1. Ah, so this is who Asteria is, an Ancient Greek Titaness I've never heard of before and the name that must have provided the inspiration for Astoria Greengrass, Draco Malfoy's wife at the end of "The Deathly Hallows" and in his married backstory of "The Cursed Child".
So the newer generation of Malfoys aren't only named after stars and constellations after all. This truly benevolent Ancient Greek Titaness must have provided some inspiration to put a whole new spin on the family's malign reputation. As corrupt as the Malfoys come, there are indeed good and gentle ones among them as is the case with Narcissa Malfoy. Astoria Malfoy is clearly the calm presence that helps her husband Draco become a far more enlightened Malfoy by taming the dragon within him and casting a shining, protective light over him and their son, leaving no reason for anyone to speak ill of them or put ill faith in them ever again as the name Malfoy implies with the definition of "bad faith". Her courage in helping to restore the ancient family's reputation in the face of outside public scrutiny, a hereditary blood curse and her own death really shines through, like a star. She is truly the Wizarding World's falling star sent to temper Draco Malfoy and help him connect with his own deep potential for benevolence and thus to embody and become the spirit of the wise and noble Eastern dragon as her namesake is the wise and good-hearted, protective Asteria, the Titaness of Falling Stars.

  2. Many think that Venus/Aphrodite is the Graeco-Roman equivalence to Astarte/Ishtar from ancient near-eastern belief, when it is in fact Asteria, a different goddess in the beliefs of the Ancient Greeks, who is not even known about in this modern era.
