I think he got taken because he was incredibly naïve, or willfully ignorant. She called the Philistines every time after she bound him as he described. He only told her each time what would make him weak. Clearly he knew what was going on. Seems like there's something missing in the story for it to make sense.

With much respect and love i would disagree when you say Samson did not know they were plotting against him. Samson knew they were after his life because every time Delilah yelled the phillistines are upon you he would jump up real fast. He knew they were on bad terms. After they cheated and got the answer for the riddle from his previous candidate of a wife he knew she was n informant and he went out and killed 30 phillistines and took their clothes to pay off his bet. then he got angry because they gave his would be wife to someone else so he burned up their crops and they found out it was him so they came after him and he had a few battles with them. by the time he was with Delilah he had already had at least 3 battles including his mose famous battle where he killed 1000 men with the jawbone of a Donkey. So by this time he was very very well aware they were after him and that's why he was so quick to jump up whenever she yelled the phillistines are here. The bottom line and the reason Samson could not see through her was easy. He fell in love with her and could not see clearly. Love can blind you. And he was punished because by revealing Gods secrets to her this displease God greatly since you are supposed to hold God above everyone else and not let any woman or any man finesse their way between you and God. I enjoy some of your videos but from the beginning the errors in this video were just sloppy.
